LJ's Jive School

We are a 1950's Jive Dance School and teach traditional 1950's Jive. We also run various music evenings in Braintree and Bury St Edmunds featuring UK & European dance teachers Mark & Lin and bands and DJ's from all over the country. We are the only Rock and Roll teachers from the UK to teach in Europe and have been teaching for 30 years. We attend many vintage days and car shows doing demos of what we do, often with our students. Earlier in 2022 we had the honour of performing in the Platinum Jubilee Pageant outside Buckingham Palace. We are very authentic in what we do, mirroring the sounds, dress and dance styles of the era. We teach at many weekend events around the UK and Europe. We like to think we can teach anybody to dance. In the past we've taught disabled people, including a gentleman in a wheelchair. We have also taught at our local school with year 5 and 6 students. Along with our dance teaching, we can also supply music all day at fairs and shows. We can also support any show as a compere for info during the day. LJ's Dance Teachers and Students have always been a great attraction where ever we go. Why not visit our facebook pages Red Hot & Rockin and LJ's Jive School. All the work we do is mainly for charity we have charities which we run all year long as well as helping others the best we can. For insurance reasons sometimes we will have to charge a fee. Don't fancy learning with a group? We can arrange 1 to 1 lessons where you can learn quicker. Why not learn a special dance for an upcoming special occasions. We can come to your party and get your guests dancing. We can arrange workshops for groups in other areas or you can come to us.
